Angel Reese has left fans outraged with a disrespectful gesture towards her opponent, as she was knocked down to the floor by a former WNBA MVP
The New York Liberty seem to have a recurring challenge—and it’s called the Chicago Sky.
On Thursday, the Sky dealt the Liberty their first loss of the WNBA season with a 90-81 victory right in New York’s own backyard. Just over two weeks prior, the Sky had already crushed the Liberty by nearly 50 points in a preseason game. It’s becoming clear that Chicago—and Angel Reese in particular—are turning into New York’s kryptonite. And one of New York’s former WNBA MVPs has already grown weary of Reese’s provocations.

About 100 seconds into the third quarter, Reese made a bold move, cutting off 2021 WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones during a fast break.
Jones, clearly irritated, plowed into Reese, sending the self-proclaimed “Chi Barbie” flying across the court. The foul was called on Jones, returning possession to Chicago, while Reese got up with a victorious grin as her teammates helped her to her feet.
A fan captured the moment on video, commenting, “Angel Reese is living rent-free in Jonquel Jones’ head.”
The Liberty and Sky are set to clash again on June 4th. The big question: Will Reese continue to rattle Jones, or will the Liberty finally find an answer to the Sky’s dominance?
